剛剛上了DistroWatch 看了一下...

原來PC-BSD8.0 在22號就發行了...

老實說我等滿久了說...

希望這次8.0的版本繁體中文支援能夠完善阿...

讓我們來看看PC-BSD這次改進了修正了哪些東西吧...

The PC-BSD Team is pleased to announce the availability of PC-BSD 8.0 (Hubble Edition), running FreeBSD 8.0-RELEASE-P2, and KDE 4.3.5

PC-BSD 8.0 contains a number of enhancements and improvements over the 7.x series. For a full list of changes, please refer to the changelog. Some of the notable changes are:

• FreeBSD 8.0-RELEASE-P2
• KDE 4.3.5
• Brand new System Installer, allows the install of PC-BSD or FreeBSD
• Run in Live mode directly from DVD
• Updated Software Manager, allows browsing and installing applications directly
• Support for 3D acceleration with NVIDIA drivers on amd64

Version 8.0 of PC-BSD is available for download from our mirrors, and as torrent from www.gotbsd.net.

 * Fixed some bugs doing upgrades from ZFS - 6228
 * Fixed issues when applying new network settings - 6247
 * Added missing country / language codes for Czech - 6254
 * Fixed issue with Software Manager downloading, but not installing applications - 6257
 * Added kxkbrc configuration based upon users keyboard selections - 6259
 * Added support for localized splash screens on i386 - 6265
 * Auto-load ahci driver by default, fixes issues with some missing DVD/Disk drives - 6272
 * By default disable atime to speed up disk access on desktop - 6269 6268
 * Shrunk install image further, fixing bugs installing 32bit on systems with only 256MB RAM

由上面資訊可得知... PC-BSD8 核心 採用FreeBSD 8.0-RELEASE-P2 嘿嘿不錯喔

怎說呢！因為FreeBSD8.0 已經完整支援ZFS的格式了... 只能說一個字 爽

另外KDE版本也滿新的喔 KDE 4.3.5

並且有Live DVD模式喔... 

更重要的是支援NVIDIA 的顯示卡喔...

雖然之前就支援很久了... 不過我想這應該更完美...

至於ATI可能要在等了... 因為ATI的驅動連Linux都不是支援的很好

更何況是FreeBSD
